June 5, 2011 – Can marketing be beautiful?

Some would argue...oxymoron.

I find it shocking how many companies produce inelegant, ugly communications and marketing.

If a company can’t care enough about its own self-image, how am I supposed to believe in the quality of their actual products or services?

Frankly, it’s the way I always feel when I get someone’s resume and I find a typo in it. If this is how they treat their MOST important project (their own career), how can I possibly trust them with other things?

This, plus yesterday’s reminder about gut feelings…makes me want to interview differently.

Maybe I’ll start that process this week…
