May 4, 2011 – On the realities of new media.

Large and in charge.

Suffice it to say, I’ve learned a lot after blogging these 4 – 5 years.

I’ve learned that some types of posts get a lot of traffic, others don’t, still others get tons of traffic…but you don’t want it.

Today, as I RID this book about “citizen media,” blogging, and the electronic frontier — I wonder about where technology is taking us, how it’s changing us, and how we might be making different decisions about it if we stayed present about it.

I have this idea — an invention really — too early to reveal it now — about a device that would help us harness the digital memory, collect thoughts from it, then specifically take time to reflect and communicate about our digital memories and contributions.

Maybe it’s time to get in touch with some people who can help this invention see the light of day…
