Today I RID this book on customer relationships.
I’ve been thinking lately about loneliness – I’ve been operating under the belief that a lot of Americans are in fact, lonely. We are looking for connection with people, but we are stuck with Facebook “friends,” and sending out periodic updates about what we’re doing.
I went into a great coffee shop in Dallas yesterday, and was looking at table after table of people using their laptops, their smartphones, etc. I’ve never seen so many people together alone.
So, here’s to getting outside…and to interacting with people. Real people.
The kind of thing that brings us together — for friendship, for connection…and not merely for commerce.
